Since Marvel's first debut of Samuel L. Jackson as Nicholas Joseph Fury, (otherwise known as Nick Fury) in Iron Man's first movie in 2008, he has been doing nothing but extraordinary work as the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. With each appearances on the big screen or even down to the guest appearances on Marvel's Agent's Of S.H.I.E.L.D., we learn something new each and every time even if its being a simple coach and giving someone a peep talk on The B.U.S. to arriving with reinforcements when a metal robot named Ultron is trying to destroy all of humanity. Sam has really taken on his role and has gone above and beyond with his eye patched wearing character. The last we saw him, MINUS his appearance at Hawkeye's family home (in the middle of nowhere), was back in Captain America: The Winter Solider, a little before the credits rolled and he said he was going to Europe to take down the rest of Hydra. Now I recently came across an interview he did with Collider while the movie (Captain America: Civil War) was being filmed in Atlanta on his role & where his character currently stands, he said

"I can’t figure that out, but I’m not [in it]. I guess I’m still out there, trying to figure out what happened to S.H.I.E.L.D. and who these other people are."

I do find it extremely odd that he isn't in a film that will be (in my opinion) One Of The Founding Moments of S.H.I.E.L.D. for the Superhero Registration Act. Of course we know he'll be back for Marvel's Infinity War Part 1 and 2, but for now lets just put him on ice.

With that being said, this brings us to the topic on hand, WHO WILL BE THE DIRECTOR OF S.H.I.E.L.D. In the up and coming movies.

Now if your a die-hard Marvel fan and believe everything is connect and you watch the television series Marvel's Agent's Of S.H.I.E.L.D. then of course you know technically, Clark Gregg, also known as Phil Coulson,

he is the Current Acting Director. But the question now is do you think they will bring him BACK TO THE BIG SCREEN. Because if you don't watch any and all things Marvel and he rolls on the big screen then you be like "Say Whatttttttttt, I Thought Loki Stabbed And Killed Him In The First Avengers Movie" then that die-hard fan sitting next to you in theaters will stand up and ask you to leave cause your wasting our time and your money if your not going to pay attention here. (*gives you the side eyes and points to the exit*). But in all honesty, I highly doubt they will bring Phil Coulson back to the big screen based on his current situation in the hit tv series and how well it is doing.

So that brings up back to the topic on hand, WHO WILL IT BE?????? We've got a few names in our hat for this honor until Nick Fury comes back, let's start out with the top two candidates then work our way to the others.

FIRST, is the most obvious move for Marvel (in my opinion) here and that is to make MARIA HILL the acting director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

*Nick Fury & Agent Hill Shooting Rogue Agents*
*Nick Fury & Agent Hill Shooting Rogue Agents*

This makes PERFECT sense to me. Not only does she already know just about every secret Nick Fury has but thats because she helped him keep most of them. She's been here, there, and everywhere else and I'm sure she knows where Nick Fury is, and she already knows Phil Coulson is out there in the world as well. Also she was acting director in the comics as well. Outside of that, I mean what else is left to say, she is the GRADE A candidate for the job!

Next on this list is bit of a stretch and a little out there but I was reading a comic and found out that, GENERAL THADDEUS E. "THUNDERBOLT" ROSS.

We all know if from The Incredible Hulk that was released in 2008. But wasn't he in connected to another actor as the Hulk and the current actor was have as the Hulk is a completely different character, yeahhhhh, lets just go ahead and sweep that under the rug, nothing to see here (hahaha). The reason I brought him up is because in the Ultimate Marvel Universe, he is an executive director (basically the same seat Nick Fury sits in). We also saw him in the first trailer of the up and coming movie, Captain America: Civil War. If Marvel decides to go in that route, I understand and but his death would be confusing because he was killed by John Wraith (aka Kestrel) and he hung out with Wolverine and Sabertooth when they were Team X. But thats another story for another day (sorry for getting off topic). His death would be confusing to get Nick Fury the director's chair back. But this is another candidate to be the acting director for S.H.I.E.L.D.

The other candidates for the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. are way out there and didn't deserve a brief summary of them and the other candidates are RICK STONER, CAPT. JACOB "SKI" STRZESZEWSKI, G. W. BRIDGES, and ROBERT GONZALES.
