Shayne: I think Snoke, not Palpatine, may have been the apprentice who killed Darth Plagueis. Chancellor Palpatine tells Anakin that Plagueis was killed by his apprentice who learned the powers of creating life and defeating death. I think that Palpatine was another disciple of Darth Plagueis the Wise who then battled against Snoke for control of the Sith. At some point, Snoke realized he was losing and used his power to create life to manipulate midi-chlorians to create Anakin from Shmi on Tatooine outside of Galactic Republic control. Then Palpatine is victorious over Snoke within 9 months and imprisons Snoke. Palpatine does not know about Anakin who therefore is born without anyone coming for him until Qui-Gon shows up on Tatooine; so Anakin develops all these relationships that were not part of Snoke's plan: Shmi, Obi-Wan, Padmé, that instil good in him. It takes Palpatine 10 years from the defeat of Snoke to Star Wars Episode I to get to the Senate and control the Separatists. When Palpatine is killed at the end of Episode VI, then Snoke is able to free himself and gain control over the Sith. Anakin is no more, so he goes for the most available descendent of Anakin who is Ben Solo and teaches Ben to rebel against his master.
