(Note: the following contains details of an actual, factual cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. As such, it can absolutely be considered to contain SPOILERS, despite not containing any details of the film's plot. Proceed with whatever level of caution that suggests to you is wise...)

Now, when it comes to a movie the size of the increasingly imminent Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it's not exactly a wild shot in the dark to suggest that we'll probably see a fair few cameos. That, after all, is very much the way major blockbuster movies work nowadays — which, seeing as we as an audience tend to love cameos, makes a whole lot of sense.

The identity of Batman v Superman's first major cameo to be revealed, however, might just surprise you a little. Y'see:

It Seems An NFL Legend Is Heading To 'Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice'

Specifically, that legend, right there on the left — ex-Green Bay Packers running back Ahman Green. Having been selected for the Pro Bowl on four occasions with The Pack, to say nothing of holding the franchise record for all-time rushing yards, it's fair to say that Green is a veritable legend (in Wisconsin, at least) — and now it seems he's set to turn up in Batman v Superman, too.

As Green recently revealed during an appearance on the Just Not Sports podcast, when asked whether he had filmed a cameo appearance in the movie:

"Yeah, I'm in there...I think I'm more than an extra. I got a lot of camera time. My character name is 'Thug #2.'"

Which, while not exactly the most glamorous of roles, is pretty darned awesome for Green (and any fans of the Green and Gold who happen to also love DC comic books). The big question now, though?

How Did Ahman Green Wind Up Cameoing In 'Batman v Superman'?

Well, as it turns out, Ahman Green is a) a massive comic book geek, with a huge collection of Batman memorabilia, and b) became friends with Green Bay native and huge packers fan Zack Snyder when the Batman v Superman director was in Vancouver directing Man of Steel.

In other words, not only did Ahman Green manage to become an iconic sports star — he's now also appearing in a major Hollywood movie alongside his favorite pop cultural icon of all time. Set your envy beams to stun, gang...

What do you think, though?
