It seems that the violent tendencies of Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett in Netflix's Orange Is the New Black has somewhat rubbed off on actress Taryn Manning. If you need a reminder of how volatile her onscreen character was, check out this clip:
Manning has been accused of being involved in a fight with a make-up artist. Allegedly, an altercation took place at Manning's New York apartment back in November that saw the star head-butting Holly Hartman, before spraying windex in her eyes and then putting her into a headlock.
The latter appealed to a court for a restraining order but it was refused because the judge claimed it was filed in Los Angeles rather than New York, where the incident took place. Hartman's legal counsel issued the following statement:
The court has already denied the request by Ms. Hartman for a temporary restraining order. The application for the order is suspect because Ms. Manning has had no contact with Ms. Hartman in many months due to Ms. Hartman's actions against Ms. Manning which are currently under criminal investigation in multiple jurisdictions.
In the restraining order, Hartman claims that the actress shouted:
I'm wearing a white shirt there will be a lot of blood. You will be famous for killing Taryn Manning.
This is not the first time that a violent incident has occurred between the two women — back in 2012, Manning was arrested for punching and kicking Hartman at a hotel in NYC. Back then, the actress's defense attorney Joe Tacopina spoke of them both as longtime friends, saying:
"They'd been together every waking minute and they got on each other's nerves and had a little incident. It was a minor physical incident."
I don't know about you guys, but I don't beat the shit out of my pals when they get on my nerves...
