Pour yourself an extra cup of coffee Gilmore Girls fans because we're returning to Stars Hollow.
Amid many recent reports and a years' worth of anticipation, Netflix has finally confirmed that Gilmore Girls is indeed returning!
Best of all, Variety has confirmed that many performers from the unforgettable cast are returning. That includes Lauren Graham (the indomitable Lorelei), Alexis Bledel (the brainy Rory), Scott Patterson (the curmudgeonly Luke), and Kelly Bishop (the wonderfully dismissive Emily Gilmore).
Also a huge plus: Amy Sherman-Palladino, the mind behind Gilmore Girls and the mile-a-minute dialogue that made it so great, is coming back for the reboot as too! She and her husband/writing partner Daniel Palladino will write and direct all upcoming episodes.
That's huge news because the network booted the creative minds off the show for the last season, and many fans felt that was a gigantic mistake.
Oh, and for fans of the quirky Stars Hollow residents, Sean Gunn (Kirk) and Keiko Agena (Lane) will also be coming back.
Will we see more of Rory's always-awkward hugs? Only time will tell.
