We were so ecstatic to find out that Noomi Rapace would reprise her Prometheus role as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw in Alien: Covenant, but director Ridley Scott has some news that might bum you out.

It turns out that Rapace will actually not appear in Alien: Covenant just a few months after Scott claimed that she would be coming back for a minor role. Our guess: she might have been written out.

In case you need a little refresher, Rapace starred as the only human survivor along with Michael Fassbender's David in 2012's Prometheus. While Fassbender is confirmed to return, the director did state that, “We’re still casting the main roles."

Alien: Covenant is the sequel to Prometheus. It is set to take place ten years later and will feature the xenomorph eggs, face-huggers, and you guessed it: chest-bursting. We really can't forget the chest bursting, now, can we?
