I think a lot of people can agree on one thing: Power Rangers Dino Charge was awesome. And I'm sure Dino Supercharge will deliver on a similar front.

Considering the fact that Saban's contract has been renewed, along with the announcement of Ninja Steel, I think it's safe to assume that Power Rangers is set in stone as an enjoyable series again.

But let's not get our hopes up so easily. Remember that we had to go through four bad seasons before we got a good one. So far, the odds don't appear to be in Saban's favor at the moment. However, that doesn't mean future seasons will be as bad, if not better or worse.

BTW, here's the official synopsis for the season. How you look at it is completely up to you:

Power Rangers Ninja Steel starts deep in space, where Zircon is the reigning champion of the most popular intergalactic game show in the universe, and monsters battle to prove who is the mightiest warrior.
Zircon is determined to become invincible by controlling the mythical Spirit Crystal, which contains six supernatural Ninja Power Throwing Stars. The only thing standing in his way is a new team of heroic teenage Power Rangers who possess the Spirit Crystal.
The evil Zircon sends his warrior contestants down to Earth to steal the Crystal, where each epic battle against the Rangers is broadcast throughout the universe.
Together, the Rangers must master their arsenal of Throwing Stars, Zords and Megazords, each made of legendary ninja steel, in order to stop this evil threat and save our planet from destruction.

Now, doesn't that sound awesome? But hey, it could always crash and burn if we're not careful.

I want Ninja Steel to succeed. I really do. But I'm afraid that it may not hold up to the expectations of veteran fans. So, I have a few ideas as to what can be done to make Ninja Steel successful.

1. Keep Judd Lynn On Board For Future Seasons

For those who don't know, Judd Lynn (nicknamed Chip) has been a head writer and executive producer for MMPR and multiple other Power Rangers seasons, in both the days of Saban and Disney (The latter of which was only for RPM). His current work is having written Dino Charge and Dino Supercharge (And eventually Ninja Steel when the time comes).

It's because of him that Power Rangers has had many great seasons, including Power Rangers In Space and the entirety of the Post-Zordon era (not including Wild Force, because Disney took over at that point). He's literally the go-to writer and producer for Power Rangers seasons.

Granted, he did help write Turbo as well, so he's had some hiccups in that regard. But hopefully, Ninja Steel won't end up as bad as Turbo did.

2. Bring Back Ron Wasserman!!

This pretty much sums it up.
This pretty much sums it up.

This should be a given, and yet Saban has yet to figure that out. Guess it's been too long.

Regardless, bringing back Wasserman as the main composer for not only for Ninja Steel's intro and the overall soundtrack, but for future seasons after that would definitely make the show more enjoyable. After all, who doesn't want to hear the badass tracks that Wasserman can come up with?

I'm sure he's been wanting to come back for some time, and he'd most likely be welcomed back with open arms......hopefully.

3. Cast An Asian Actor As The Red Ranger!

Hilarious yet relevant, am I right?
Hilarious yet relevant, am I right?

Let me make something clear here: I am not a racist or a racial profiler, nor am I trying to be in any sense. I'm saying this because it's something we have yet to see and I feel is necessary. I don't have anyone in particular in mind, but I still want this to happen.

We've seen Red Rangers of all sorts of nationalities, except for someone who is of some sort of asian descent. And before you mention the Quantum Ranger, he was never explicitly mentioned as a Red Ranger. He just so happens to be a sixth Ranger that looks like the Red Ranger from Time Force. To me, he doesn't count, regardless if he was in Forever Red or not. I just wanted to make that clear.

And think about it. This is another ninja story. So what better time than now should there be an asian red ranger thrown into the mix? Sure, we've had actors of asian descent playing other colored Rangers before. But the color red's gotta have some love too in that regard.

I personally think it would be awesome, and it would also keep with the tradition of ninjas more than any other ninja themed season has. Granted, considering it's Power Rangers, that's still not saying much, but it's still a step up from what we've gotten.

4. Bring Back Team Ups!

The epitome of wishful thinking in Power Rangers.
The epitome of wishful thinking in Power Rangers.

This is another given. Actually, no. It's a Power Rangers staple, and it's been severely lacking currently. Clash of the Red Rangers was a disappointment, and it barely counts as a team up to me.

If anything, I want there to be a team up of Ninja Steel and Dino Charge. But for what it's worth, keep it original rather than just trying to be as accurate to the crossover from the show's Sentai counterparts as possible. Chances are, it wouldn't make much sense.

It should be more along the lines of one of the SPD/Dino Thunder crossover specials, where it was mostly, if not all original footage (Both morphed and unmorphed). I don't know how it would be done, but let's get this trend started up again. I miss it.

So I'll open up the floor to you guys. Do you think that Power Rangers could end up making a comeback? What do you think about the plot of Ninja Steel? And also, do you think that Judd Lynn will be the savior of Power Rangers? Because so far, that's looking to be the case. Tell me your thoughts in the comments section below.

Have a Morphenomenal day, and may the Power protect you, always! ;)
