I'm attempting to get into the film and television world and I am a big fan of the MCU and the upcoming DCEU

Since I made a recent post about the movies that Marvel Studios could be making for 2020, I thought I would speak my mind on the future of the partnership and slate that Marvel has with Netflix. Back in 2013, a deal was made for Marvel to bring 4 of its street-level superheroes: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) through 13-episode Netflix series'. So far the first season of Daredevil and Jessica Jones have already been released to positive reviews, so each was renewed for a second season. The next two series to premiere will be Daredevil Season 2 and Luke Cage Season 1.

Though not officially announced, I think the next 2 series after that in 2017 will be Iron Fist and The Defenders. If this is true then what's gonna happen after Defenders? If Marvel and Netflix do continue their partnership then we could see mare seasons of your favorite Marvel shows and possibly more new series' created for Netflix. If this happens there are 6 that I would like to see happen past 2017. 2 of them are practically guaranteed, while the other 4 are just considerations on my end. the first 2 are the one that should appear first and they are:

1. Jessica Jones Season 2

This was already confirmed last month that private investigator Jessica Jones would be getting a second season just like Daredevil. The season would most likely pick up with the ending questions from the season 1 finale. Where and how did Jessica get her powers? Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad) is set to return to as the hard-drinking P.I., as well as Rachel Taylor (Transformers) and Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix) as Trish Walker and Jeri Hogarth respectively. I don't know if Mike Colter (Halo:Nightfall) will be back as Luke Cage, but there are 3 people I would like to star as guest or recurring. In episode 6 "You're a Winner!". Jessica refers to another private eye named Angela Del Toro, the name of another street-level heroine, White Tiger. So along with Trish Walker's transformation into the vigilante known as Hellcat, Jones could take on the organization known as the IGH with her "Feline Fatales".

Also, even though David Tennant's (Doctor Who, Broadchurch) villainous and brilliant take on the Villain Purple Man was killed by Jessica in the finale, it would still be cool to have Tennant return as a figment of Jessica's haunted memories. And to go along with her "Feline Fatales", Jessica needs another female hero who deserves her screen time.

Marvel is testing everyone's patience

Since Marvel has yet to confirm whether or not a Black Widow movie is in development, I think Scarlett Johansson should make a jump to TV and be apart of Jessica's super-heroine team, as well as a team-up with the next show in line!

2. The Punisher

Marvel said they were close to getting a greenlight on a Netflix spinoff to the infamous anti-hero known as Frank Castle, AKA The Punisher. The Punisher has actually been portrayed in 3 separate films by 3 separate actors: Dolph Lundgren in 1989, Thomas Jane in 2004, and Ray Stevenson in 2008. Now we have the fourth incarnation of The Punisher, portrayed by Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, Fury). The character is set to appear in Daredevil Season 2 as one of the main "antagonists".

The next 3 shows that I picked are out of order so they can be re-arranged however you like it to be.

3, 4, or 5: Moon Knight

Like Punisher, Moon Knight is another dark hero of the streets that should be introduced to the MCU. Netflix would be a great place for him to start out at. Plus his involvement in the cross-over story I picked would definitely help.

3, 4, or 5: Luke Cage season 2

I think Luke Cage definitely deserves a second season and the subtitle for that season (like DD2's subtitle Daredevil vs. Punisher) should be Heroes for Hire. Because of all the problems that have occurred with the development of Iron Fist, I don't think they will renew it for a second season. Instead, I think he will be integrated into the Luke Cage series as a beginning to a Heroes for Hire story arc.

3, 4, or 5: Daredevil season 3

I say a third, and most likely a fourth season of Daredevil are already in development. For the third season, we start to see Matt Murdock dive deeper into his darker side and believes himself to be the actual devil. The villains of Daredevil are true to comic legends with Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in season 1 and Elektra Natchios in season 2. They have to use Bullseye for season 3. And to help Matt out is another "eye". Hawkeye has also been sort of pushed aside in favor of bigger, well-known heroes, and to put him in Daredevil season 3 against Bullseye would be great! And the darkness in Matt would grow even stronger leading to the big cross-over event!

6. Marvel's Shadowland

What do Punisher, Moon Knight, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Elektra, White Tiger and Daredevil have in common. They all appear in the Marvel story arc known as Shadowland. This is where Daredevil goes from good to bad and becomes the leader of the evil ninja clan known as The Hand. He also goes up against his fellow defenders and changes his suit to the hardened black suit below.

Now there is one character who has to appear in Shadowland and that is Spider-man.

Shadowland might be hard to make because of the supernatural elements that turn Daredevil into the monster he fears. But there's another character who appears who go turn the tide of the Shadowland events and prepare for Netflix phase 3.

And that ladies and gentlemen is Ghost Rider.

Those are my picks for Marvel/Netflix Phase 2. Do you agree? Let me know?

We know Jessica Jones 2 is a go and Punisher is almost certain. Which of the other Marvel properties would you like to see on Netflix?
