First off, tonight's episode of Supergirl was a solid A-, just not enough fights and exposition, but that wasn't a terrible thing. Of course, the highlight of the episode was Bizarro featured as the villain and that made for a respectful nod to her cousin, Clark Kent aka Kal El, Superman's villain, Bizarro! The makeup and costumes were superb and her negative reaction to the green kryptonite was a good twist albeit not surprising if you are a comic nerd like myself. Nevertheless, it was a breath of fresh air so to speak to get away from her annoying aunt, family ties are strong and what not but having a little time away from family drama is always good.
The picture above was taken during the final scenes of the episode and I loved how they displayed quite well how opposite their powers were and the effects were top notch. Another thing, however different from Superman's lore, was that this girl, female Bizarro, was a victim of a mad scientist aka Max Lord, hell bent on ridding Earth of Supergirl and other alien menace, no matter the costs. Why are clever, smart and filthy rich people always eager to play mad scientist? Oh, that's right, because they feel weak and humbled by those who were gifted with great super powers, because they feel with their knowledge, and wealth and power, they should be the ones who are the hero, or does he want to rule the world? Maybe not that last bit, but he does want to get rid of Kara aka Supergirl because he sees her as a danger to us humans and our beautiful blue rock, Earth.
Anyway, that is enough for me. Have a good night, I hope you enjoyed this quick article. I plan on covering the other Superhero TV Series that I love, and watch, plus more of the X-Files revival. I pray that the latter gets a full season of episodes bought by Fox! Be good to each other and Up, up, and away!
Oh, and one more thing, I cannot believe I failed to mention this...maybe it's because I loathe too much mushy romance, especially in my Sci Fi and Superhero shows, movies..But I felt bad that Kara had to break Adam's heart (Cat Grant's son). Bye now.
