Since the 1980s, now 49-year-old Cindy Crawford has been making headlines as one of the most beautiful women in the fashion industry. Last week, it was reported that the model, activist, and spokesperson would be retiring after she turns 50 on February 20.

Crawford spoke to Rhapsody, the United Airlines in-flight magazine, saying that she has already accomplished so much in the last 30 years, that she's ready to stop modeling.

"I've done it. I've worked with all these incredible photographers. What else do I need to do? I can't keep reinventing myself. I shouldn't have to keep proving myself. I don't want to."
“I'm sure I'll have my picture taken for 10 more years. But not as a model anymore.”

Yesterday, however, she took to Instagram to clarify her statements.

While she might be focusing less on modeling overall, Cindy's not quite giving up the modeling game just because she's turning 50. Besides, Crawford is still just as gorgeous as she was 30 years ago, so why stop now?

When it comes to whether or not she'll continue to work for the camera, in the wise words of Justin Bieber: never say never!
