The Exploits and Adventures of a guy who loves Pixar and Marvel on a journey to becoming an Orlando-Floridian filmmaker. You think you know what I can do? Then, you ain't seen nothing yet!

You may be wondering why I wrote that in the title. Well, look at this article...

Now, I know there aren't any rumors going around that the Walt Disney Studios is talking about this nor have they confirmed it but I just that I'd get my thoughts on this idea out of my system. Get ready because this is gonna be a long one...

Perhaps I should start off by saying that I LOVE Disney Infinity despite it's flaws. that and the concept and potential it had sounded REALLY promising. However, the sequels were...not even as good. 2.0 (featuring Marvel Superheroes) is pretty much the "Epic Mickey 2" of Disney Infinity and 3.0 (Star Wars) is...better but not saying much. Now let's do a quick contrast between The LEGO Movie (which is what a "Disney Infinity" movie would probably be like) and the Marvel and Star Wars movies (most prominently, The Force Awakens for the latter). The Force Awakens + the Marvel Cinematic Universe are for the most part serious with some light moments here and there while The LEGO Movie has the tone of a children's TV show. I would personally hate to see the Marvel Heroes and Star Wars characters be handled in the same manner as the DC heroes in 'LEGO'. And remember the ending to that movie with the live-action bits? I don't want to see that with some of my favorite characters, Disney, Pixar or Marvel. Plus that ending felt appropriate for a Saturday Morning Kids Show. Now, I know that "The LEGO Movie" is supposed to be funny (not to mention family-friendly as opposed to the DC Cinematic universe) but not a chuckle out of me for the way they handled these characters. And do you want to know what the target audience is for "Disney Infinity"? Kids and kids only.

Requests for any 2.0 or 3.0 characters that aren't from Big Hero 6, Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur and Zootopia aside...

Now, let's discuss the cast for the 3 games, respective movies and animated series (not counting "The Clone Wars" or "Star Wars Rebels")...

Now we know that the cast of both the animated Marvel shows on Disney XD and the Marvel Cinematic Universe are very different from one another. Both of which are really good. But, I'm pretty sure that Marvel fans such as myself prefer the likes of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson and Tom Holland to the cast of the Disney XD shows. And Yes! I'm fully aware that Samuel L. Jackson is Nick Fury in both the game and the movies.

Now Star Wars on the other hand, I can understand why they would recast Mark Hamill but I'm pretty sure hardcore fans would want to hear the likes of Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and James Earl Jones rather than cheap soundalikes.

As for the Disney characters, let's think about and list the characters that have their respective actors reprise for the game (not counting the mission givers or unplayable villains; even if they DO use those characters for the sake of exposition)...

I know there are others but this is all at the top of my head. But let's discuss the ones that they recasted for the game...

Wreck-It Ralph

Joy

Captain Jack Sparrow

Mike and Sulley

Lightning McQueen

and this is the most insulting of them all...

Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie

Can you imagine if they decided not to go through with getting the likes of Owen Wilson, Amy Poelher (sorry if I've mispronounced it), Johnny Depp, John C. Reily, Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Tom Hanks, Tim Allen or Joan Cusack? Or that they stuck with the same cartoon-y animation that's in the game? Then it may be considered possibly, Disney's laziest effort of an animated feature making it almost as bad as "Home on the Range" and "Chicken Little" but just barely (Speaking in a hyperbole).

But, right now let's just be thankful that the Walt Disney Studios isn't considering a "Disney Infinity" movie anytime soon. And I hope I don't give any of their executives possibly some of the worst ideas.
