Last February, cosplayer Chaka Cumberbatch launched #28DaysOfBlackCosplay celebrating 'black nerds' across the globe. That movement proved to be a success, encouraging people from all over the globe to join in with the Twitter campaign.
'More Meaningful Than I Could Ever Dreamed Of'
Due to a leap year this year, the hashtag has changed slightly, but the meaning is the same - #29DaysOfBlackCosplay will give fans an opportunity to share their pictures. As Chaka says:
"What began as an idea I had to foster a sense of positivity and camaraderie within a subculture that has given me so much quickly evolved into something that was both larger and more meaningful than I could have ever dreamed of."
