Once again, Selena Gomez has been forced to speak out about her high profile relationship with Justin Bieber. The couple famously dated on and off from 2010, before waving love goodbye in 2014.
Speaking to W magazine, who called her the "most popular girl in America," the 23-year-old pop star touched on how her personal life was under scrutiny for so long after she broke up with Justin. She said:
"To me it was: I'm 18, I have a boyfriend, we look cute together, we like that. Then I got my heart broken and I cared."
"Because people had no idea what was going on, but everywhere it was a million different things I was kind of in a corner, banging my head against the wall. I didn't know where to go."
For those who are still holding out for a Jelena reunion, prepare to be disappointed though. Gomez has been adamant that it's not going to happen and that her on-and-off relationship with her ex-boyfriend has left her "so exhausted." She admitted:
"I honestly am so done. I care about his health and well-being. But I can't do it anymore."
And while she was out and about dropping truth bombs, she also cleared up the fact that she is not currently feuding with Miley Cyrus. She said:
"Obviously, she wouldn't want to be doing what I'm doing, and I wouldn't want to be doing what she's doing. But I'm a fan of her music — I don't know if she'd say that about me."
So, no beef trickling over since they both dated the same heartthrob, Nick Jonas? Well, apparently not:
"We never feuded. We both liked the same guy when we were 16. It was just a Hilary Duff–Lindsay Lohan thing: 'Oh, my God, we like the same boy!' We are now completely settled in our own lives."
Well, I'm glad that's settled then!
