OVERALL GRADE: C+
Dirty grandpa set out trying to be something more then a mediocre comedy that uses its R rating to rely solely on graphic college level humor but that's not the problem with this film, the problem is that it was released in january where all movies are sent to die.
I'ts common knowledge that Jan/Feb are by far the weakest months of the year for movies but all in all this film survived my expectations so rather then a recap of the film (pretty simple grandpa/grandson on last hoorah road trip)
The worst part of this film was how predictable it was, from the moment we meet the characters even the most amateur movie goer knows exactly where the plot is going, where the jokes will be and how corny the ending will eventually be. This film had promise but relied to heavily on its R rating to pull cheap laughs rather then take 10% more time on story and could have wound up with a good comedy that would have done well at the box office but instead we are left with another high profile actor in a money grab comedy
When will people learn from Judd Apatow that just because you make an R rated comedy doesn't mean you cant have story and plot points as well. Take notes Hollywood 10% effort people i'm asking 10%.. Not a complete waste but wait for this one to come out at the redbox.I wont go into more then this because one of my promises here at movie minute is no fluff no fill and this movie breakdown is basic due to how basic the film itself was

Too predictable and too many unearned/forced punchlines with no story to support them
