CBS and The CW have announced the long-awaited Flash/Supergirl crossover. They also revealed the date and the fact it´ll be a one-hour event, such as the yearly Arrow/Flash episodes.
Actor Grant Gustin, who plays Barry Allen/The Flash in the CW's The Flash, will make his way into National City alongside Melissa Benoist, who stars as Kara Danvers/Supergirl, on the special Supergirl episode slated for Monday, March 28 at 8/7c on CBS.
What is really interesting and great for me, is that the article says Barry Allen will make his way to National City; why is that so exciting? Because it hopefully means they won´t be using the "Parallel Earths" cheap trick and we will get a proper introduction of Supergirl to the Arrowverse.
Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg had this to say:
"We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl. We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out."
They thanked the fans and journalists who "kept asking for it". They continued:
"It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone's enthusiasm and support,”
Are you excited to now know that while Arrow is torturing some poor crook, Superman is flying through Metropolis´ skyline while Supergirl is making excuses as to why her "cousin" doesn´t see her so often?
