Over 5 million people tuned in on Tuesday night to take a wild ride back to the '90s in the new FX series American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson. But while you were probably focusing all your attention on the madness that was a heavily made-up John Travolta, or a bepermed Sarah Paulson, you might have missed the mini Friends reunion!

Yep that's right, while it was impossible to miss Friends alum David Schwimmer in his role as lawyer Robert Kardashian, there was also another actor who had also appeared on the hit sitcom.

Now unfortunately the actor in question wasn't any of the remaining main five friends (though, I think we all know that Monica in humid temperature could have rivaled Marcia Clark's hair), but it was someone who had appeared in an episode with Schwimmer before.

In American Crime Story you may recall a character named Howard Weitzman, the man who acted as O.J.'s initial attorney. He was the one who Robert Kardashian called out to when the police were refusing him entry to O.J.'s home.

You remember him, right?

Well, as it turns out, the actor who played Weitzman, Ken Lerner, was a familiar face for Schwimmer, having appeared in a Season 9 episode of Friends as Professor Spafford a.k.a. "Professor Boring." Take a look at the clip below to spark your memory:

Ahh Professor Spafford, how could we have ever forgotten you and your shellfish allergy?

As good as this little reunion was, in real life Howard Weitzman wasn't O.J. Simpson's attorney for very long, so unfortunately it doesn't seem as though we're going to see this duo together on screen again. Long live Professor Boring!

Episode 2 of 'American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson' will air on February 9th on FX.

Did you notice the mini 'Friends' reunion?
