Deadpool hit theaters this past Valentine's Day weekend and not only did it break box office records for an R-rated movie on opening weekend, it also managed to be the most talked about topic on social media, just narrowly beating out girls showing off their boyfriends on Twitter to reassure themselves they'll "Be Together FOREVER!!!"

Not only that, even before the film hit theaters 20th Century Fox announced that Deadpool would get a sequel. Hopefully now Fox "gets it," and will allow for the Merc with the Mouth to venture further into the Marvel universe. Hopefully this time he'll get to meet the ever-elusive Wolverine. But I say for the Deadpool sequel, Deadpool breaks out of the Marvel Universe and crosses over with all of movie history. Here are some of the possible crossovers that Deadpool would totally own:

It's well known by even the most novice cinema buffs that the Overlook Hotel can make even the strongest mind go mad. But what would happen if you were already insane? You wouldn't be able to tell what was reality or Deadpool's mentality.

It's well-known that Deadpool is Marvel's take on the DC Universe's most deadly assassin Deathstroke. But what would happen if Marvel's Mercenary when up against Gotham's protector? Deadpool's extroverted sense of humor clashing against Batman's dry wit would be worth the price of admission alone.

Deadpool may have set records for R-rated movies in theaters, but Kickass was a trailblazer in the genre. Pairing Deadpool up with what could be seen as his female counterpart, Hit-Girl, would be fantastic. Both their fighting styles and farces would compliment each other so well, it would blow theater-goers' minds.

This would be a dream crossover for Wade Wilson, he's a huge Star Wars fan. Not only that, but seeing Deadpool go up against one of the most famous scoundrels would be fantastic. Let's hope that this crossover comes to fruition, because Marvel and Star Wars are both Disney's pawns and we can hope to see Star Wars: The Deadliest Pool hit theaters soon.
