Ben Stiller sets new Guinness World Record at Zoolander 2 premiere.
The star performed his record breaking feat on the 'blue' carpet - a nod to Derek Zoolander's signature blue-steel gaze.
A adjudicator from Guinness World Records joined the stars at the Zoolander 2 premiere in London on Thursday evening as star Ben Stiller set out to achieve a new record - for the longest selfie stick.
The star was presented with an official Guinness certificate following the feat, in which he took a snap with a group of assembled celebs using the eight-and-a-half metre long device.
It's the latest in a series of stunts arranged to promote the sequel to Stiller's 2001 comedy, in which he plays dimwitted but irrepressibly confident male model Derek Zoolander.
The Guiness World Records website gives the following stipulations for an attempt like this one.
"This record is for the longest selfie stick in terms of physical length."
"This record is to be attempted by a team of unlimited size."
"This record is measured in metres and centimetres, along with the imperial equivalent in feet and inches."
"For the purpose of this record, a selfie stick is defined as a monopod for a mobile phone or a digital camera used as an extension of the arm to take self-portrait photographs."
