Some men just like to watch the world burn, others like to collect movie merchandise. If I had to choose, I'd choose the latter as it's 67% more socially acceptable, and 100% less psychotic.

One of the leading manufacturers of such merchandise is Hot Toys, who generally creates scaled down models because, well, it makes sense for toys to be moderately small. Typically, they create replicas that are 1/6th life size, so they'll easily fit in storage or on a shelf.

Yet they clearly felt the upcoming epic Batman v Superman deserved an equally epic toy to match. So they made Bruce Wayne.

This Is Bruce. Bruce Is 2.2m Tall And Costs $7,999.99 (The Cent Makes All The Difference)

This is actually a replica of Bruce's alter ego, Batman, portrayed by Ben Affleck in the film. And it's completely life size.

The statue stands at 1.95m/6.4ft while not on the podium, matching the stature of Affleck himself.

Batman Even Comes With Full Body Armour, AND Glowing Eyes

My 12-year-old self would be absolutely over the moon at the prospect of owning something like this. But, in reality, it's a little scary, right?

I suppose it could be used as a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight, if you will, fending off bad guys with its static stance and demonic stare. But is it really worth splashing out $8,000?

I, for one, am not convinced. That's a LOT of cash. With lots of hype surrounding Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which is due for release on March 24th this year, there probably will be people out there who are willing to make this purchase.

Check out the trailer below to see the real real Batman, Affleck, taking on the Man of Steel:

Would you buy the Batman 'toy'? Or does it scare the hell out of you?
