Katie May, a Playboy model who earned the title 'Queen of Snapchat' from the magazine, passed away from a "catastrophic stroke" according to TMZ. She was only 34 years old.

Known to her nearly 2 million Instagram followers as 'MsKatieMay,' the model was hospitalized in critical condition on Monday after suffering the stroke. TMZ has reached out to her family, who tell the media outlet that the stroke was caused by a blockage in her carotid artery.

She leaves behind a 7-year-old daughter named Mia.

May's family has started a GoFundMe fund for the young girl's education (you can donate here).

May is thought to have suffered a fall during a photo shoot that led to neck and back problems, for which she sought treatment. According to the model's personal Twitter, that injury occurred last week.

Her modeling work has been featured in Sports Illustrated and Playboy, along with all of her candid photos on Snapchat and Instagram.

Our hearts go out to her family, friends, and fans.
