A short while ago, EA detailed what we can expect from future Star Wars: Battlefront paid DLC packs, as well as free content updates. We've already received new Hoth costumes for Han Solo and Luke Skywalker, as well as the introduction of private matches. February is due to bring a new Survival mission on Hoth and a brand new Hoth multiplayer map, as well as bringing the great Turning Point mode to other giant maps.
But March is where things get interesting, and we see what sort of content EA and DICE have planned for those that own the Season Pass or plan on purchasing this upcoming DLC pack. But what does it really need on its release date? We think these videos have the answer!
Star Wars: Battlefront DLC Needs More Of This
The first Star Wars: Battlefront DLC pack, entitled 'Outer Rim', is set to release in March for XBOX One, PS4 and PC. EA will be releasing a map on Endor that will support Walker Assault, Supremacy, and Turning Point, and an additional Tatooine Survival map. We'll be able to fight amongst the factories of Sullust and battle within Jabba the Hutt's palace on Tatooine. But tell me something, will we have this?
I'm about to run you guys through some of my favorite clips to come out of Star Wars: Battlefront. I admit, this game isn't perfect. In fact, it's lacking in a lot of areas. But there's a reason why I've played to level 50 and have tried to unlock everything: I'm having fun. This game is addictive in its simplicity. It's certainly not good enough, but there are some priceless moments:
There are many times throughout your Star Wars: Battlefront career that you're likely to remember. There are some kills that you're going to be very proud of, and if you actually accomplish something like this, pride is all you really can feel.
This Star Wars game is one that rewards great aim. Whether it be landing the perfect shot from an X-Wing, perfectly throwing a thermal imploder (doesn't that thing have the greatest sound effect of all time?) or simply landing a perfectly executed killstreak as Luke Skywalker, this title can be super satisfying. But this is the kind of aim you gotta love:
Grenade physics. They can be rather beautiful when they actually help you. You never know what kind of luck you'll experience after that device is launched from your hand. But this; this is beyond luck. This is a demonstration of this player's knowledge of the force:
These are the moments that I want to enjoy during the Star Wars: Battlefront DLC. I want DICE to include more and more content to facilitate moments like this on more maps. We need more vehicles (especially for the Rebels), we need more weapons, more Star Cards, more innovative game modes. Is this too much to ask for? I don't think so.
