The duo of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are back at it, this time as producers of a new Syfy original series titled Incorporated. The series is set in the not-so-distant future, when businesses are granted unlimited power. The show follows one man who dares to stand up and thwart a mega corporation. With a trailer release via the Syfy Twitter page, there is a lot to be excited for.
Why should we be excited?
The cast, for one, is enough to make any fan of Syfy originals happy. A long list of very notable names are attached to this series (besides Affleck and Damon) which include Dennis Haysbert (The Unit), David Hewlett (Stargate Atlantis) and Ian Tracy (Man of Steel). For a full cast list, check out the Incorporated IMDB page.
Anything futuristic can be very hit or miss, but Incorporated does not seem to be pushing the envelope too far when it comes to space-age technology. While it is set in the future, it does not appear to be too far from the present. The premise is not as unbelievable as many of Syfy's other original series (from what I have seen, some of the events could actually happen).
While it looks great, the trailer does not give too much away about the plot. We have all been there, we see a trailer for a film or TV show that looks epic, but the actual production is a snooze. This short and sweet trailer leaves way more to the imagination, and for me, that's more exciting and only makes me want to watch it more.
There hasn't been much in the way of imagery released for Incorporated. The short trailer above has been the forefront of the promotion so far, however the network has ordered 13 episodes. We do know that the show is slated for a fall 2016 debut, but no precise premiere date has been set.
