In this article, we are going to review the trailer for the upcoming DC movie, Justice League vs Teen Titans. Here is the official plot synopsis as it appears on Wikipedia:

Robin is sent by Batman to work with the Teen Titans after his volatile behavior botches up a Justice League mission. The Titans must then step up to face Trigon after he possesses the League and threatens to conquer the world.

To be on the same page, let's take a look at the trailer!

Alright, now let's break this down!

We see a city on fire and see Superman battling Lex Luthor. A safe bet would be that this is Metropolis and Lex has gone nuts, yet again. One key thing to notice here is that Superman's eyes are black. Another, is that he isn't holding anything back. Is this the same true American hero we all know and love? What happened to Superman and why are his eyes black?

Through our "WB Animation" banner, we see black vines wind in then cut to the Justice League being taken in by what appears to be the same substance. Someone says, "Someone is controlling the League."

This is probably my favorite piece of the trailer, we see Son of Batman's Damian Wayne call out "Father!" followed by Batman replying with "Get back!"

What does this mean? Why does this excite me? Well, this means that our Son of Batman saga (Son of Batman, Batman vs. Robin, Batman: Bad Blood) are in the same universe as the Justice League (Justice League: War, Throne of Atlantis). While this may have been implied in these movies, this is our first real push from DC to say, yeah... it's the same universe!

"When a Demon Returns."

Trigon! If you watched the Teen Titans TV show, you know that he is Raven's father. He is crazy and he is powerful. If he is our main villain in the movie, it is safe to say that he is the demon responsible for controlling the League!

We see a difference from the Teen Titans TV series, with Robin now being Damian Wayne, Blue Beetle being added, and Beast Boy, Starfire, Raven, and Nightwing all being present. The roster also shows Cyborg (voiced by Shemar Moore as in War and Throne of Atlantis) but I think it's safe to say, he just hasn't been taken over like the rest of the League.

We see the Flash running into the frame with four red eyes. Traditional Trigon. Yup! Trigon is controlling the league!

We see various fight scenes, but something to note is that we hear Starfire do the battle cry of "Titans Go!" Normally, this call is done by the leader — which tends to be Robin. On the rare occasion, it has been Cyborg, but Starfire less so. What does this mean for our Teen Titans's dynamic?

Last but not least, Robin has a way to take out Superman. I look forward to seeing what this might be! I think it's safe to say Batman has a way to take out Superman; Robin just shares the same cave and can get Batman's plan.

We finish the trailer by seeing:

"You're never too young to save the world."

What a great trailer! I think it's safe to say, this is going to be another hit from WB Animation and one to match Justice League: War!

The film is released digitally on March 29, 2016 and through home media on April 12, 2016!

What do you look forward to most in 'Justice League vs. Teen Titans'?
