Barely a week after Hollywood legend Kim Basinger was announced to play Elena Lincoln in Fifty Shades Darker, the highly anticipated sequel to Grey has added two more beauties into the mix.

Aussie actress Bella Heathcote, who was one of the first recipients of the Heath Ledger Scholarship, began her career on Neighbours, like all good Australians do, and before long she relocated to Hollywood to scratch the LA itch. You might remember her from Tim Burton's Dark Shadows...

Let's be honest though, you probably didn't watch Dark Shadows. No shade.

Bella can currently be seen in the genre-bending Pride and Prejudice and Zombies as Jane Bennet. Check out the trailer for that below...

But back to Fifty Shades Darker, in which Heathcote has signed on to play Leila Williams, an ex of Christian Grey whose relationship with the big man left her feeling emotionally scarred.

Prior to the events of the first film, Leila left Christian for a man she went on to marry — before leaving him for a man named Geoff. Of course, this is highly unrealistic because it's a known fact that women never cheat on their husbands with men named Geoff. When Geoff died, Leila had a mental breakdown.

Physically, she is a brunette with eyes the color of bourbon, and she bears a surprisingly strong resemblance to Anastasia. In Darker, the novel, Leila breaks into Christian's apartment to watch Ana sleep. When she begins waving a gun around, Christian has her taken to a psychiatric ward.

It's a juicy role for a young actress like Heathcote to sink her teeth into, and seeing Ana and Christian on the receiving end of the double threat of Elena and Leila should raise the dramatic stakes considerably over Grey.

Meet Miss Provocative...

Also cast in the franchise and set to debut in threequel Fifty Shades Freed (out 2018) is Vampire Diaries and True Blood actress Arielle Kebbel.

Kebbel will be playing Gia Mateo, an architect hired by Christian to build his house in the final film of the trilogy... because of course, the architect who built your house looked exactly like that.

Ana refers to Gia as "Miss-Provocative-and-unfortunately-good-at-her-job," which means she's two things our heroine isn't. I like Gia already...

Fifty Shades Darker is directed by James Foley, written by Niall Leonard, husband of E.L. James, and expected to hit theaters on February 10th, 2017.
