While most companies are doing all that they can to talk sports stars and celebrities into being spokespeople for their product, Turkish Airlines has gone in a rather unexpected direction with their newest frontmen and "hired" characters more familiar to us from comic books and films.

In an ad campaign for both Turkish Airlines and [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870) that debuted during the Super Bowl, Bruce Wayne (a.k.a. Batman!) and Lex Luthor each introduced two different spots promoting the benefits of flying to either Gotham City or Metropolis. Yep that's right, Turkish Airlines has hired two fictional characters to fly you to two fictional cities. Weird.

Take a look at Bruce Wayne's ad below:

Firstly you have sweeping views of the city

Before checking out some of the cities newest buildings, thanks to what Bruce Wayne himself calls a "significant grant"

The ad goes on to list some of Gotham's most famous landmarks such as the Opera House, before alluding to the fact that any visitors to Gotham may be lucky enough to see the city's most famous resident: Batman.

It's also worth mentioning that Turkish Airlines probably knows their stuff when it comes to Gotham, considering that there is an actual city in Turkey called Batman (I know! I couldn't believe it either!).

Next up, competing for visitors is Lex Luthor and his bid for people to head to the great city of Metropolis:

Much like with Gotham, we're given a wide view of the sprawling hub of Metropolis:

The city is described as being "reborn, rebuilt, and stronger than ever. Proud of its heritage, and its heroes." There's even a small snippet of the man of Metropolis himself, Superman.

Of course, Lex Luthor also appears midway through the commercial and sneaks in again towards the end, tightly gripping a stress-ball and looking rather menacing as he chats about how he and the rest of Metropolis can't wait to welcome guests.

Uhh, I gotta say, while the city of Metropolis entices me a lot more than Gotham, I'm not entirely sure I'd feel safe be welcoming by Lex Luthor. Anyone else?

'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' will be released in cinemas on March 25th.

Where would you rather go?
