I'm pretty sure that Wolverine isn't the only one with an incredible ability to heal himself, because the actor that portrays him, Hugh Jackman, has proved himself able to fight off cancer astoundingly well!

The actor, who has starred as Wolverine in an incredible seven times, with another final appearance coming in an untitiled solo film, Wolverine 3, next year, has taken to social media to talk about the latest treatment which he has received for skin cancer. And with it comes an important message that everyone should hear!

"An example of what happens when you don't wear sunscreen. Basal Cell. The mildest form of cancer but serious, nonetheless. PLEASE USE SUNSCREEN and get regular check-ups."

Jackman has addressed this issue before, because this is unbelievably the fourth time that he has dealt with the disease in the last two years!

Jackman talked to People Magazine about his experiences with cancer last year, and what he had to say should reassure his many fans:

"It's always a bit of a shock just hearing the word cancer."

"Being an Australian it's a very common thing. I never wore sunscreen growing up so I was a prime candidate for it."

"I was trying to keep calm about it but it wasn't until Dr. Michael Albom really explained to me that what I had, in a way, was the kind of skin cancer you want to have if you're going to have it."

"Basal cell carcinoma is just something you have to deal with. It's cancerous. It will grow. You just have to get it out."

So there you have it folks, it doesn't look like the lovable Australian actor is going to submit to this disease anytime soon!

Nevertheless, the issue he raises is an important one, and it is vital that you get yourself checked for these things, not just skin cancer, because catching it in an early stage like Hugh did is the best way to handle it!

Thanks for reading guys! And don't forget to go and see Hugh in Eddie the Eagle, in cinemas March 28th!
