Lupita Nyong'o is one of the rising stars of the moment, after winning an Oscar for her incredible performance in 12 Years A Slave (her first feature film!) and wowing audiences as Maz Katana in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
She has plenty of upcoming projects too; she'll be appearing in the upcoming live-action adaptation The Jungle Book, as well as in Star Wars Episode 8.
Now, on top of all that, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that she may be in talks to star in the upcoming sci-fi comedy Intelligent Life.
If Nyong'o signs, she will be playing the central alien figure in a story about a UN employee working in a department created to deal with first contact, should it ever happen. He meets, and falls in love with, a mysterious woman before learning that she is, in fact, an alien.
Ava DuVerney is rumored to be interested in directing the project, with Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow writing and producing alongside Derek Connolly and Frank Marshall. If the director and stars are confirmed quickly, the studio is aiming for a summer start to film, with Intelligent Life due for release in 2017.
