(Warning – if you don't want to know anything about the second half of Gotham's second season before it returns to our screens on February 29, then what follows could well be considered to feature SPOILERS — albeit the kind of SPOILERS you're likely to see on TV in the interim. Proceed with whatever level of caution that suggests is wise...)

Now, when one of the stars of the year's (second) biggest movie heads to one of the most popular superhero shows on TV, the most obvious assumption would be to look squarely in the direction of Marvel Studios and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. After all, with Marvel's Cinematic Universe spanning screens big and small, there's no more logical place for a blockbuster star to head, surely? Except, of course, a Marvel movie didn't come in at second place in the box office back in 2015 — Jurassic World did.
