In case you missed it, the latest Secret Life of Pets trailer premiered during the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl on Sunday and it didn't disappoint. The highly anticipated animation film, which is set for release in July this year, will take a comedic look at the lives our pets lead when they're home alone. This is the fifth collaboration from Illumination Entertainment and Universal Studios — and if previous creations are anything to go by (Despicable Me, Minions, The Lorax), this movie is worth getting excited about.
The new trailer only adds to the excitement, revealing three big things that we can expect from The Secret Life of Pets.
It's not about the humans
The trailer wastes no time in taking the humans out of the picture, with each owner saying goodbye to their beloved pet at the very beginning,. This movie is going to be all about the animals.
The pets know each other
The clip goes on to show some kind of social gathering around a toilet bowl no less with one dog drinking from it and the rest of the pets eagerly cheering him on. Looks like there's going to be some interesting relationship dynamics between this bunch.
It's going to be full of surprises
The trailer ends with a hilarious scene featuring a very proud looking poodle sitting in what appears to be a rather fancy abode — before rocking out to a bit of heavy metal music the moment his owner is out of the door.
Here's the full clip in all its glory.
Looks promising, right?
