Seven years after losing his wife under tragic circumstances, Liam Neeson has finally shifted his relationship status from single to Taken.
In an interview with the Irish Independent the 63-year-old actor opened up about his love life and how he usually celebrates Valentines day, and it turns out he tends to go down the cliché but generally foolproof route:
"I'll send out a few bunches of flowers to various people and I usually just say 'from an Irish admirer'."
Various people, huh? Neeson, you minx!
Seriously though, that's pretty cute. And, he revealed that this year, hiding amongst those 'various' recipients, is a special someone! But of course he's far too much of a gentleman to reveal her identity.
"I'd embarrass her if I said her name, she's incredibly famous. I'll have to do my best for her. It's amazing how far a simple bunch of freshly picked flowers will go in a lady's life, I find."
I feel like you can't just drop a bombshell like that and not reveal who your 'incredibly famous' secret girlfriend is, Liam Neeson.
The news of Liam's romantic involvement comes 7 years after he lost wife Natasha Richardson to brain injuries sustained following a skiing accident. Although this seems to be the actors first steps towards moving on, Natasha's death is "still a touchy subject."
"I had many little letters, beautiful little cards scrawled from people after her death. I still have them and they are very meaningful. It is really touching.
In your soul you know that there are people out there caring for you. That means a hell of a lot to me."
