The horror genre is bursting at the seams with demonic children terrorizing freaked out adults, but Emelie leaves the kids' as innocents and brings every parent's other worst nightmare to life.
Dark Sky Films has announced that Michael Thelin's Emelie will be released in theaters and on VOD sites on March 4th, and the previously released trailer below really brings the terror:
If you missed the movie's premiere at Tribeca Film Festival last year, here is a brief synopsis of the scares that are in store:
“After their regular babysitter Maggie can’t make it, the Thompson family turns to her friend Anna to supervise their children while the parents go out to celebrate their anniversary. At first Anna seems like a dream come true to the kids, allowing them to eat extra cookies and play with things that are usually off-limits, but as her behavior becomes increasingly odd, the kids soon find out that her intentions are dark and twisted, and she is not who she seems to be.“
What's scarier: Demonic kids' or evil babysitters?
