Tumblr is known for coming up with crazy fan theories, but the latest one to do the rounds about Disney favorites Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast sounds seriously legit.

In a classic scene at the beginning of the movie, Belle heads straight for the bookstore where she waxes lyrical about her favorite book. She sings about 'far off places,' 'daring sword fights,' 'magic spells,' and even 'a prince in disguise.' Ring any bells?

As if that wasn't enough of a hint, she also sings, "Here's where she meets Prince Charming, but she won't discover that it's him 'til Chapter 3."

Is Belle's favorite book the story of Aladdin?! Could he be the Prince Charming that she's talking about? It certainly sounds like it.

Thanks to Tumblr user petitetiaras for this awesome theory.

To back it up even further, the films were only released a year apart and some of the big shots from the production team have admitted to a bit of collaboration behind the scenes. John Musker, who directed Aladdin, told Entertainment Weekly last October that the team was "working on Aladdin while Beauty and the Beast was being worked on."

This is far from the first crazy theory dreamed up by a Disney fan. Here are a few of the best:

1. Andy's Mom is Jessie's original owner, Emily

That red cowboy hat that Andy is wearing all the time growing up? Emily is wearing exactly the same one in all of the flashback scenes playing with Jessie. I will never look at Andy's mom in the same way again.

2. Mother Gothel is the Evil Queen

Not only are they both obsessed with youth and beauty, the dagger and box that Mother Gothel reveals in Tangled is remarkably similar to the one the Evil Queen gives to the Huntsman in Snow White. The older versions of the characters bear a striking resemblance too.

3. 'Up' is set in the afterlife

This theory suggests that on the night Carl is supposed to move into the retirement home, he actually passes away peacefully in his sleep. The rest of the plot is his quest to find Ellie in the afterlife, with Paradise Falls as the ultimate destination of heaven. Sob.

What's your favorite Disney fan theory?
