(Warning — major SPOILERS for the most recent episode of 'The Flash' lie below. As Taylor Swift would likely advise Barry Allen, were the two to ever meet at Miley Cyrus's first ever chili cook-off: "Don't say I didn't say I didn't warn ya...")
Now, what with Legends Of Tomorrow dashing back and forth around the time stream, and The Flash periodically zipping across to Earth-2 like it's not a thing, it's probably fair to say that we're currently living in the golden age of live-action DC television cameos. After all, with both dimensional and temporal travel possible within the shows, the only real limitation on who — or what — the Arrowverse can feature is what's allowed by the corporate execs over at DC.
Which makes it all the more intriguing that...
We Totally Just Saw A Legion Of Super-Heroes Flight Ring On 'The Flash'
Yup, that's right. Your eyes were not deceiving you.
That ring we caught a brief glimpse of during the most recent episode of The Flash?
That totally was, in actual fact, one of the legendary Legion Of Super-Heroes' flight rings.
Which, as it turns out, isn't all that surprising, seeing as DC CCO Geoff Johns recently teased to TVLine that "you’ll see a hint of the Legion on one of our shows" in the near future. Which, it now seems, we very much have.
The Reason That's So Intriguing?
Well, more than anything else, it's a neat reference to the beloved superhero team — the greatest superheroes that the 31st century has to offer, and a group that both Supergirl and Superman have joined at various points in their comic book histories.
It's also, though, entirely possible that the appearance of that ring is only the beginning, and that we'll see the Legion — or a handful of its members — crop up in an Arrowverse show in the future. It might still be a long shot, but with The Flash and Supergirl set to crossover in the near future, it's certainly not impossible.
A big final episode reveal on Supergirl, perhaps?
What do you think, though?
Where would you like to see the Legion Of Super-Heroes pop up?
