How do you make fan art of the most popular movie franchise ever stand out?

Artist Lap Pun Cheung has marked his images out from the pack by drawing inspiration from the iconic style of Tokyo-based animation producers, Studio Ghibli.

Best known for films such as Princess Mononoke (1997), Spirited Away (2001) and Howl's Moving Castle (2004), the oeuvre of key studio director Hayao Miyazaki has yet to embrace The Force.

The artworks by Cheung, who works in the games industry in Germany, help us to see what Miyasaki might create:
