Barry, Cisco and Harry say their goodbyes to rest the rest of the team and head through the speed canon. They see various earths and heroes on their way to Earth 2. The speed canon becomes unstable and Jay tells Joe that they may be stuck on the other earth if they do not find a way to stabilize it. When they get to Earth 2 they first see Dr. Henry Hewitt's Earth 2 doppelganger and then Barry goes to find himself. He knocks Bartholomew out and pretends to be him. He finds out that he is married to Iris, she works for the CCPD while he is still CSI, Deadshot is hher partner and his captain from Earth 1 is a felon. Earth 2 Caitlin and Ronnie turn out to be enforcers for Zoom called Killer Frost and Deathstorm respectively. The find out about "breachers" who have come to their Earth and are tasked to kill. Barry goes home with Iris and it turns out to be just like his house on Earth 1. He then finds out from Iris that his mother is alive, so he calls her. They go out to watch Joe, who is a singer, at Jitterbugs. It turns out that Earth 2 Barry and Joe resent each other. While he is performing, Killer Frost and Deathstorm appear, looking for the "breachers".Joe is wounded before Barry fights the two. He is able to hurt Killer Frost, so they retreat. Barry and Harry argue over what their priorities are with Harry wanting to focus on Zoom and finding Jesse. Joe tells Barry to take care of Iris and he dies from his injuries at the hospital. Back at the CCPD Barry convinces Iris to bring Cisco along in stopping Killer Frost in Deathstorm as he has the technology to do so.They find them at an abandoned warehouse where they meet the employer of the two. It is Cisco's Earth 2 counterpart named the Doppelganger who shares the same abilities as him. It turns out that he reports to Zoom. Doppelganger offers to teach Cisco how to make full use of his abilities, but Cisco refuses and calls for Barry. He fights the three metas. but is ultimately overwhelmed. Before they can finish him Zoom shows up then kills both Deathstorm and Doppelganger for disobeying his orders to keep "Speedsters" alive for him. He takes Barry and locks him up in his lair. When Barry wakes up, he sees a man in a black mask and then he sees Jesse. He tells her that her dad is back and that they are there to save her. Zoom appears and tells Barry not to make promises because he will not escape. Back on Earth 1 a metahuman named Geomancer wrecks havoc on the city. Joe asks Jay to take the Velocity 6 so that he can save the city. He refuses to and then tells Caitlin the real reason he is sick and dying is because he had created it back on his earth to get faster. She develops a Velocity 7 which gives him back his speed so that he could stop Geomancer. It seems to be effective and he is able to slow down the meta, but it wears off, nearly getting him killed before Joe comes to his aid.
This episode had to have been the most magical thing to have graced out TV screens last night. There was not one dull moment on Earth 2 or Earth 1. Bad guys all over the place and a lack of superheroes. Check out these notable scenes.
Killer Frost: Caitlin's Earth 2 counterpart who is a meta with ice based powers. She is one of Zoom's enforcers and instills fear on those who oppose him. Just like her Earth 1 counterpart, she is with Ronnie Raymond, who is also part of Zoom's gang.
Deathstorm: The evil Earth 2 version of Firestorm. Just like his Earth 1 counterpart, he is merged with Stein, however it seems like he has taken full control of Deathstorm. He has all the same abilities as all the Firestorms. He and Killer Frost report to Reverb. He is killed by Zoom.
Reverb: Cisco's doppelganger who has the same abilities, but he is shown to be able to utilize them to their full potential. While Cisco can only "vibe", Reverb has displayed the ability to shoot sonic vibrations. He also works for Zoom, but is then killed by him.
Geomancer: A metahuman who can manipulate and control the earth. He serves us as our villain on Earth 1 while Barry is gone.
Iris West-Allen: On Earth 2 she is married to Bartholomew and she works as a detective at the CCPD. Like her the Iris we all know and love (most of the time), she does everything she can for her family. Even taking a job as a detective to pay for her husband's tuition apparently. We wouldn't mind seeing more of her.
Joseph West: Earth 2 Joe is a singer at Jitterbugs and he is shown to have a dislike towards Bartholomew. He is also against Iris working as a Detective at the CCPD. He is killed later by Firestorm.
Floyd Lawton: Deadshot's Eart 2 counterpart couldn't be anymore opposite of him. He is Iris's partner who is scared of everything and is a bad shot.
Henry Hewitt- He is Harry's lab assistant on Earth 2. He is a nice guy butBarry and Cisco's faces say something else.
Team Flash- Two worlds, double the trouble. On both ends the team had to face off against some powerful enemies with the odds stacked against them. The good guys lost on both Earth 1 and Earth 2 this episode, but as the saying goes: A team that loses together, stays together. Or something like that. At least they all tried their best to make it out alive and save the cities.
Team Zoom- Looks like the Flash isn't the one with a crew. Zoom has Reverb, Deathstorm and Killer Frost. As bad ass as they are, they were a little too full of themselves and half the team was taken out by the boss himself.
Barry, Cisco and Harry- This trio finally went on an epic adventure together. the thing is, they didn't listen to Harry and now they are in a pickle. Yes, Barry did have a point of prioritizing Iris and Joseph, but Harry was right about focusing on Zoom. Look where meddling in affairs on a different earth in the end.
Barry and Bartholomew- It was a pretty short meeting but Bartholomew didn't even seem too freaked out at the fact he was abducted by his doppelganger because he was too busy fangirling over Harry.
Barry, Joe and Iris- Before he left to go to Earth 2, he shared a last meal with the family. Iris was wondering whether or not he was doing it to save Harry's daughter or if it had something to do with Patty leaving. He said that although he was hurting, he wasn't looking at this as something to run away to. That was going to come home after saving Jesse and stopping Zoom.
Barry and Iris (Earth 2)- Barry was able to live Bartholomew's life and it wasn't too different from his own. On this world though, he got the girl and their life is sort of similar. Even where they live. It was kind of funny seeing this version of Iris gushing and all googly eyed over Barry.
Barry and Nora Allen- Barry finds out that his mother is still alive on this world and they share a pretty emotional phone call. She reveals that she and Henry had been waiting for him to call them. This scene definitely pulled on the heart strings.
Barry and Joseph- Joe and Barry's are inseparable on Earth 1. On Earth 2 Joe wants to separate Bartholomew's head from his body. Up until he died, he was hostile towards Barry and disapproved of him and Iris. He even said that Bartholomew was the most selfish person he ever knew. Barry didn't leave Joe though and stay with him until he passed.
Barry and Zoom- Barry came face to face with his nightmare once again. He doesn't seem as scared as he was before, but then again he is behind a glas window. Zoom is getting his little piggy ready for slaughter, and as of now it almost seems that there is no way out of this.
Vibe and Reverb- Out of all the meetings between the doppelgangers I would have to say this was our favorite one. Francisco is a bad ass whether he's good or bad and is still a genius. Reverb told Cisco that they could both be gods with their abilities and even offered to help him unlock his potential. As tempting as it was, Cisco wasn't having any of that. He even made a comment on Reverb's bad hair and tried to kick his ass to save Barry. That didn't really work out though.
Killer Frost and Deathstorm- Just like this couple was on Earth 1, they are almost the same on Earth 2. The only difference is that they are terrible people. It was nice to see their relationship a little closer to the comics. Technically this is the third time Caitlin's lost Ronnie. Even though they are bad guys you can't help but feel bad for Killer Frost when she sees Deathstorm killed by Zoom.
Jay and Caitlin- Jay finally told Caitlin the real reason he was sick was because he created Velocity 6 himself and that it was killing him. Now she's made it her mission to help in finding a cure. She made Velocity 7 for him and that din't work so we're guessing Velocity 9 will be the lucky one. Hopefully Caitlin will be able to save her new love. On top of all that they only have a day to fix the speed canon.
Joe and Jay- They were at each others throats this episode because he refused to take the Velocity 6 and Joe said the city needed the Flash to save Central City from Geomancer. When Jay tried and failed, Joe saved him from getting his head squashed. Jay definitely deserved to say,"I told you so."
Iris and Joseph- Whatever Earth he is on, the love for his kids will never die. The circumstances were different, but Joe still did everything for Iris. Even though he didn't like her husband or career choice, he cared for Iris and loved her very much. It was super sad to see him go.
Jaws- "I got no spit."
Flash- John' Wesley Shipp's Flash. Welcome to the Multiverse.
Supergirl- Yay! Seeing her made us happy. Guess that clears up her being in an alternate universe. What a cool way to tie her in and on a Flash episode nonetheless. We definitely didn't see this coming that early. Barry probably saw that and was like. I'll be back for you.
Connor Hawke- Ooo. Look at that metal arm. A Connor Hawke based character is supposed to show on Legends and we already know Oliver isn't the Green Arrow on Earth 2. This is probably the Hood.
Jonah Hex- He is supposed to appear on Legends of Tomorrow, so it was interesting to see him pop up here.
Legion Ring- Those of you know where we're going with this one. The last time we saw this is a live action DC show was on Smallville. And we know who used that to visit Clark Kent.
Mayor Snart- So in another life he's not a crook, he's not a Legend, he's a Mayor.
Atlantis- Barry apparently sent his Earth 2 parents on a trip to Atlantis.
Justice League- Look at the names on speed dial
Mordor- Nice shirt Cisco
Star Wars Reference- "Are you Cloud City Vadering me right now." - Vibe to Reverb
What's To Come/Theories:
What can we expect from the the next episode. It looks like Killer Frost will be joining the team on their hunt for Zoom. They find his lair and try to rescue both Barry and Jesse while Bartholomew complains about not wearing the right shoes to participate. With the only people with powers being Cisco and Killer Frost, how will the team be able to stop Zoom? It also looks like Barry is getting round 2 of the beat down and this time it is in Zoom's house. That must be terrifying. Hopefully Cisco learns to use his powers just like Reverb was able to so that he can give Zoom a run for his money. From the Easter Eggs, we know for sure we will be seeing Supergirl, Jonah Hex, and the Hood sometime in the near future. The Supergirl and Flash crossover is already in the works and this was a brilliant way to tie it in. Will Barry and Cisco make it back to their world and reunite Jesse with Harry? Is there anyway to stop someone as powerful as Zoom. As for who is under the mask. Check out this article , which will be updated from time to time. Our bets are on Earth 2 Wally or Henry Allen.
The Flash has literally opened a whole new realm of possibilities. In this single episode he tied everything DC together, all in a matter of seconds. Let's just take a minute to admire the beauty of it all. "Welcome to Earth 2" just changed the show's already amazing dynamic into something more. The story continues and we've got two different ones now that Barry and Cisco are on their own mission in stopping Zoom with Harry. While Jay, Caitlin and Joe are left to protect the city from other metahumans. This episode gets "We seent it all" out of Multiversity. Blew our damn minds out this one did. What did you think about the episode? Leave it in the comments below, we'd love to read them!
