When the first trailer was released for The Huntsman: Winter's War, many fans were left a little confused about just where this tale of queenly rivalry fit into the timeline of 2012's Snow White & The Huntsman.

Now, Universal has released a new trailer that details exactly what the prequel is about — and it looks pretty incredible (not to mention downright gorgeous).

Charlize Theron is back as the villainous Ravenna, who learns that her sister Freya (Emily Blunt) will give birth to a child fated to become more beautiful than she. When Ravenna exacts her jealous plan, Freya harnesses the power of ice to train her huntsmen (Chris Hemsworth and Jessica Chastain) and raise an army.

Naturally, Kristen Stewart will not be returning in the story that precedes her character, but with the star power assembled for this new film, my mirror's telling me that audiences will still turn out for The Huntsman's April 22 release.

What do you think of the new trailer?
