1. The Witch

The real Satanic Temple in New York City will be launching premiere screenings of The Witch because they say it is a "transformative Satanic experience" and they fully support the movie.

To read the official announcement by the National Spokesperson for the Satanic Temple, head to the Satanic Revolution website.

2. Hardcore Henry

One of the most anticipated indie horror/action films of the year, Hardcore Henry is filmed entirely in POV and kind of looks like a video game.

3. 31

Rob Zombie's new movie, 31, about a group of carnival workers being hunted by killer clowns, had to be drastically edited to get a rating of "R". Zombie has said the unrated version will be released on DVD.

4. Creature Designers: The Frankenstein Complex

This is a documentary about horror special effects that reject computer animation and rely on good old physical techniques. It promises exclusive footage from classic monster movies.

5. Cabin Fever (2016)

Eli Roth's splatter classic has been remade... using the exact same script as the original movie.

6. Leatherface (2016)

Originally called Texas Chainsaw 4, this is the eighth movie in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series. This one is supposed to be a prequel to the first film - although there already is a prequel to the first film.

It is supposed to be released sometime in 2016; as of the time of this writing, a trailer is not yet available.

7. Green Room

This movie is about a punk band that faces a band of murderous white supremacists. The leader of the murderers is none other than Patrick Stewart (yes, the guy that played Captain Picard, and Professor Charles Xavier).

8. Amityville: The Awakening

This is the fourteenth movie in the Amityville Horror saga. It was supposed to be released last year, but was delayed until this year. For some reason it stars the awesome actress Jennifer Jason Leigh, who was last seen in The Hateful Eight. Oh, and it also stars Kurtwood Smith, the dad from That 70's show.

9. Baskin

This French horror film is for fans of the New French Extremity movement. It's about a group of cops that stumble onto a satanic ritual. It's being compared to the 2008 hardcore French film Martyrs, and is deemed too extreme for all but the most hardcore horror watcher.
