Seemingly every upcoming movie in the [Marvel Cinematic Universe](tag:1096390) is rumored to feature a death of a prominent character. You can now add 2017's Thor: Ragnarok, which is said to start production in Australia later this summer, to that list of films. Not only that, but the deadly antagonist who is rumored to be a death warrant for Asgardian foes is the ruler of the Hel and Niffleheim Hela, who many believe will be portrayed by Oscar winning actress Cate Blanchett.
Hela, was appointed as the Goddess of death by Odin and extended her rule of the dead beyond Hel and Niffleheim to all nine realms. This deadly cloaked Vixen is rumored to side with Loki in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarock per reports by other outlets including Latino Review. Thor, somehow finds out that the his troublesome brother has joined forces and when Thor confronts Hela she destroys Tor's precious hammer Mjolnir and banishes the son of Odin from Asgard. Somehow this leads to the unconventional pairing of Thor and Hulk who, as earlier reported, embark on somewhat of a cosmic road trip across the Nine Realms. As for how Thor involves the Incredible Hulk into this deadly domestic drama we will have to find out. Or will this somehow lead into a cinematic version of the fan favorite Planet Hulk line of comics?
Hela's devestation doesn't end with Thor's mighty hammer Mjnolir. Hela is rumored to spell doom for the all-seeing and all-hearing guardian sentry of Asgard, Heimdall. Idris Elba has portrayed Heimdall in first film Thor, the sequel Thor: The Dark World and even had a brief cameo via a dream sequence in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Hela is rumored to kill Heimdall during the destruction of Thor's hammer, however it is rumored that the sentry of Asgard will return from the dead with "the souls of the Righteous Fallen" and the Valkyries of Valhalla for the movies final battle scene and climax. Many have speculated that Heimdall will take part in Avengers: Infinity War, if so than Heimdall's death won't keep him from taking part in the war of all wars. So what do you think? Will Heimdall bite the dust in Thor 3 or will he keep guading the Rainbow Bridge and Biofrost for eons to come?
