I know, I know. It's another article about Deadpool's massive box office success, but the movie just won't stop exceeding expectations!
We already learned that the adult-oriented superhero flick grossed the most money ever for an R-rated film released on a Thursday night.
Now, Variety is reporting that Deadpool's final weekend draw could be even stronger than earlier projections have led us to believe.
Though most figures put Deadpool's U.S. box office around $70 million by the end of the Presidents' Day long weekend, elevated interest has pushed that number even higher.
By the time the long weekend draws to a close, Ryan Reynolds' irreverent antihero could net Fox a jaw-dropping $80 million to $90 million.
In fact, if it performs exceedingly well, Deadpool could knock Fifty Shades Of Grey (which made $93 million) off the top spot as the biggest Presidents' Day weekend debut in history. Even if that doesn't happen, Reynolds and co have got to be popping bottles right about now.
