If you are a fan of the comics or TV show, then I hope you have checked out The Walking Dead: The Game. Based on Robert Kirkman's comic book series and brought to you by Telltale Games, the interactive graphic video game has been released episodically. Now on its second season, the game is set in the same world as the comics, Georgia right after the start of the zombie apocalypse. The story follows a convicted murderer named Lee Everett and a young girl he rescues named Clementine. The gameplay relies heavily on quick time events and dialogue choices which can alter the story and affect events episode to episode. While many new characters from The Walking Dead world are introduced, you will also run into a few familiar faces.

With excellent character development and story telling, the game has received critical acclaim including 'Game of the Year' from a few gaming publications. Each of the two seasons contains five episodes with a few supplemental episodes. Season three is currently in production but fans received amazing news when it was announced that Telltale Games is releasing a miniseries based on one of our favorite comic book and TV show characters, Michonne!

The Walking Dead: Michonne - A Telltale Miniseries follows the untold story of Michonne's journey while she was away from Rick and the group and what brought her back to them. In the comic book series, Michonne leaves the group and her katana behind to deal with issues from her past. The first episode titled, In Too Deep, follows Michonne aboard a ship called the 'The Companion' with a crew sailing along the coast of the Chesapeake Bay in search of supplies and fellow survivors.

Things take a turn when they hear a distress call from their radio requesting help and upon arrival they find a massacre and no clue about who was responsible. With new threats looming, Michonne and the crew find themselves to a floating survivors' colony known as Monroe which could be the location housing those responsible of the attack. Along with the ongoing threat of walkers, there is also the theme very prevalent in this world, who can you trust?

The three-part miniseries will give you the chance, as Michonne, to make the important decisions but also learn more about the mysterious character. Much of her backstory is still a mystery to us but this gives fans an opportunity to get into her head for a better understanding into the iconic character she became. It is important to add that this game is a stand alone series so you do not need to have played the other games in the Telltale games series or have read the comic book series to enjoy the upcoming release. The first episode will be released February 23, 2016 so watch the trailer below!
