*WARNING! POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD!*

Ever since the announcement of the movie, one big question has been on everyone's mind. Who will win this fight? Some say Batman, because he's always the man with the plan, and frankly kicked Superman's ass in 'The Dark Knight Returns' graphic novel which this movie is drawing inspiration from.

Others say it'll be Superman, and that his powers will lead him to victory.

And some just say it'll be a stalemate where the the two eventually learn they're on the same side, and have to join forces against the bigger threat Doomsday. We know their team up is inevitable, it's just the events that lead to the team up is unknown.

Now in the beginning I said that it was the question on everybody's mind, and that's including myself. In fact I was so intrigued I looked into it as much as I could, to try and formulate an answer. Ladies and gentlemen, I think I have one. And all the clues came from the director, Zack Snyder. So if you don't want to know, now's your last chance to back away.

So who will be the winner?

Superman

And no, it's not because he's my favorite hero (though it does put a smile on face). The evidence I've gathered just points to him winning. What evidence? Well let's go through it.

1. San Diego Comic-Con Man of Steel Panel 2012

Our first stop takes place here. In this video, you see plenty of fans go up and ask questions to Zack and Henry. One in particular stands out at about the 12:30 mark.

The fan asks who would win in a fight between Nolan's Batman and Zack's Superman, and Zack replies with:

Well that's like not, I mean look I love Batman right? He's awesome, really no literally awesome. But like, really?

Now I realize the fan says Nolan's Batman, and Zack's older Batman seems like a way more comic accurate one. But it could be argued that with the way he talks about the character, he means the character in general is awesome. In which you could then imply he means Batman in general would lose. I realize it's a stretch, but as my pal Billy Mays would say, "but wait there's more!"

2. San Diego Comic-Con 'Batman v Superman' Panel 2015

Fast-forward to 2015, the panel for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is where I notice Zack drops another little hint starting at about the 6:50 mark:

Snyder describes Gotham and Metropolis being across from each other separated by a big bay, like Oakland and San Francisco. Aisha (the host) then proceeds to say that she's from San Francisco and that San Francisco would win. To which Zack replies:

So you're from Metropolis haha

Hmm, now why would Zack say that? I can't think of a reason, unless it's because Zack is maybe trying to tell us Superman is going to win.

3. 'Batman v Superman' Trailer 2

Keeping your opinions about the trailer spoiling the movie or not to yourself, it's where our next hint lies. At the 2:00 mark you see Clark say some pretty factual stuff.

Stay Down! If I wanted it, you'd be dead already.

This line and Superman's delivery of it sound like it's at the end of the fight really, and it's also followed by Batman just sliding on the floor in what looks like defeat.

Now along with this, I've come up with something else.

How It Can Work For the Plot

After the fight ends with Batman defeated, Superman spares his life despite Batman trying to destroy him. Batman later on realizes that he's not the enemy after all. Then good old Doomsday shows up, where the two meet again and unite to try and stop him for the good. After that Doomsday is defeated, and the two realize that they work better as a team, alongside Wonder Woman. Perhaps the other heroes like Flash or Aquaman come out of hiding, and it leads up to the Justice League.

Well there you have it folks, just my little theory on the movie. Things to keep in mind are A) I'm aware it has its holes. B) I don't believe this as gospel and take it to heart, and neither should you. It's just the thought I side with more and find the most plausible. However I am interested and eager to see what your guy's thoughts are and who you think will win. Feel free to comment below.

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' opens on March 25th
