Kate Winslet crushed it last night at the BAFTA Film Awards when she took home the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Steve Jobs. She also crushed another tedious question about that infamous 19-year-old piece of driftwood: the floating door from Titanic.
That's right, in much the same way that Céline's heart will go on, apparently so too will the questions about just how much space was on that door. But, before we get into Kate's sassy reply, here's that heart-wrenching scene from the end of the movie. So, get your tissues ready and go back to the Titanic one more time:
When a reporter asked Kate if Leo ever mentioned the fact that she maybe could have let him on that door to save his character's life at the end of the movie, Kate's reply was ice cold (much like the water in which Jack froze).
"No, funnily enough he doesn't [bring it up]. He really doesn't care about the door."
And this so soon after she JUST ADMITTED there was actually room for two! Well, fine. I guess we'll all just let go, then.
