There seems to be a never ending supply of Transformers related movies, series, comics, games and of course toys releasing since Michael Bay got his hands on your favorite childhood toys and blew 'em up. But there is one new piece of Autobots vs. Decepticon flavored sweetness of note to speak about, and it's coming to a smartphone near you soon.

Coming hot on the heels after PlatinumGames's nostalgia soaked and really very good Transformers: Devastation brought the heroes back to their original, cel-shaded, '80s glory, Hasbro and Space Ape Games have collaborated on the very first real time strategy (RTS) game to include the warring robots.

Called Transformers: Earth Wars, the game puts you in the metallic boots of either Optimus Prime or Megatron and tasks you with putting together a crack team of 'formers to take on enemies and capture piles of Energon, and build a bridge from Cybertron to call in reinforcements.

Here's the trailer:

But what's most exciting about this reveal is the actors that provided the voices of Optimus and Megatron, Peter Cullen and Frank Welker respectively have returned to the fray, ready to instil the warmth of Saturday mornings back in us once again.

So, are you excited for the very first Transformers RTS? Earth Wars will release this spring on iOS and Android.
