There are a million reasons a villain can miss the mark. Maybe they're generic, maybe they're pointless, or maybe they just don't look good. The five villains listed below definitely can't blame their character design. Despite looking amazing they still found a way to let us down!

1: Captain Phasma - Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Captain Phasma has one sexy design! I can't be the only one who paused The Force Awakens trailer on the shiny, chrome Storm Trooper just to soak in the awesomeness! I was pumped to see the Captain in action, only to find out she didn't play a major role. Hopefully she steps it up in Ep. VIII before she ends up as another Boba Fett.

2. Venom - Spider-Man 3

Venom might be my favorite comic villain of all time due to the '90s Spider-Man television series. Leading up to Spider-Man 3, I was pumped to see the live action version only to have the rug violently pulled out from under me. You know why? This iteration didn't do the character justice! He still looked awesome though!

3. Davy Jones - Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Davy Jones is one of my favorite villain designs of all time. I mean, how can you not love the tentacle face and lobster claw! However, he ended up not living up to his promise in the extremely boring Pirates of the Caribbean sequels.

4. Megatron - Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Transformers: Dark of the Moon

I may get some flak for this, but I love the first Transformers! It's definitely one of my guilty pleasure movies! Megatron got off to a hot start when he busted out of that ice he was trapped in, but by the end he really lost a lot of his appeal, so much so that Shia LaBeouf killed him. C'mon Megatron!

5. Fenrir Greyback - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Parts 1 & 2

Just look at that ugly mug! Fenrir Greyback was so creepy looking as he lurked about with Voldemort or the other Death Eaters but when it came time to get down to business in the battle of Hogwarts he only ate one person. Lavender "Lav-Lav" Brown... C'mon Fenrir, you could have done better!
