Had enough of smashing zombie's heads in with a sword? Ha! As if.

Fortunately for you then, The Walking Dead games welcome a new miniseries featuring the katana-wielding badass, Michonne.

Instead of releasing a second trailer (which would follow the tantalizingly short one from December last year), game developer Telltale has been much more generous and, boy have they amped up the hype.

They've just released this 6-minute preview of Michonne pulverizing the rotten skulls of the undead and well, it's brutal.

If you can handle extended tension, watch it here:

In the game, Michonne is haunted by the loss of her two children. The memory of them plagues her vision, with the clip flickering between the real forest and her pre-Apocalypse toy-strewn flat.

"I left so many people that I loved behind. I am done with them but they are not done with me."

The strong-willed warrior was first encountered in Issue 19 of Image Comic's The Walking Dead.

Her lethal skill with a katana sword is crucial in keeping alive herself and the few remaining survivors.

As she levels her gun at the stumbling corpses she raises it for a moment to her temple:

"Some days I envy the dead."

The five seasons of the interactive graphic video game are based on Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore's comic book series of the same name, which began in 2003.

The forthcoming game is the first since the emotional climax of Season 2 in December 2013.

The games gained recognition for their unique approach to character and plot, gaining popular emotive traction with gamers through focus on plot over problem-solving.

Watch the trailer here:

You can crush zombies on PC, Mac, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, compatible iOS devices, and Android.

'The Walking Dead: Michonne - A Telltale Miniseries' will be released on February 23

Is there another 'The Walking Dead' survivor who should have their own miniseries? Comment below!
