I will so be picking up this comic! The Pink Ranger, or pterodactyl, will be getting her very own comic book spin-off of the hugely successful Mighty Morphin Power Rangers No. 0 and No. 1 Comic series. Boom! Studios and Saban Brands announced via Hero Complex the title of the six-part miniseries will be Mighy Morphin Power Rangers: Pink, confirming its main focus on Pink Ranger, Kimberly Hart. The series will be written by Brenden Fletcher and Kelly Thompson, with art by Daniele Di Nicuolo. Fletcher and Thompson are well versed in female powered comics, as they are behind series such as Batgirl, Black Canary, and Jem and the Holograms. There will be two covers, one main, by Elsa Charretier (below), and one variant by Marguerite Sauvage (above).

Beyond the Green Ranger, the Pink Ranger is the most beloved by fans, with the original role on television belonging to actress and crush of every 90's teenage boy, Amy Jo Johnson.

The Power Rangers original 1993 TV show was a huge hit, and has been on TV ever since with changing rangers and themes. The recent launch of the comic book Mighty Morphin Power Rangers has been just as successful, with issue No. 1 currently having over 100,000 pre-orders, and isn't due out until March 2nd. It follows The Green Ranger, and future White Ranger, Tommy (aka Kimberly's man), as he joins the team.

The comic is ALMOST as epic as the 1995 film, appropriately titled Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie. You know, where they all travel to distant lands to save Zordon while Ivan Ooze reeks havoc in their city? Ya, it's only the best movie ever.

The Pink Ranger has always been the valley girl with a brain AND one serious high-kick!

She's also my absolute favorite Ranger, so I could not be more excited for this comic! It's awesome to see another female lead comic series join the ranks, much less one that can kick some MAJOR a**! Bring it on!

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Pink is set for a May release.
