When you think about superhero and comic book movies, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles probably isn't the first thing to spring to mind. Although they are absolutely superheroes, the boys aren't quite in the same league as the Caped Crusader... until now!

The newest character posters (which the film posted to Facebook earlier today) show Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo each poised atop a skyscraper, gazing out over the city that they are there to protect. Check them out:

If the poses look familiar, it's probably because these are a clear homage to Batman, who is often seen looking down on Gotham, cape a-flapping.

Spider-Man is another big name hero who is often pictured looking down on New York City – maybe he bumps into the Turtles on top of a building every now and then?

At least there are enough buildings in New York for all the heroes to have their own rooftop to gaze moodily off of!

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows' comes to theaters June 3rd, 2016.
