For those that are eagerly awaiting any form of news regarding Half-Life 3 or Portal 3, the wait can be an arduous one and may be never-ending. But that doesn't mean we can't enjoy new content with the Half-Life or Portal name.
Thanks to YouTuber, AndrewMFilms we now have an indication of how a fight between Portal's Chell and Half-Life's Gordon Freeman might go down. The two go head-to-head after Gordon takes a lump out of Chell's cake (gifted to her by GLaDOS) with his wrench. No table manners, whatsoever. The ensuing chase features plenty of portals, a shotgun, a turret, a few wrenched crates and everything else you could hope to see.

Couldn't they just have talked about it?
No ... I guess they couldn't. - bullsquid42, epic YouTube commenter
Well played, AndrewMFilms. There are some great special effects going on here, awesome cosplay, and tons of fun references to two of the most beloved franchises in gaming history. Seeing these IPs brought back to life is always special, but it's generally bittersweet. After all, we may never see a release that'll take either of them to number 3.
Half-Life 3 & Portal 3 Never Coming Out?
We've already heard the leak from within the offices of Valve regarding the existence of Half-Life 3. Allegedly the game has been in development for years, but is now only being developed by a handful of devs. Valve are fearful that the third installment will be met with a backlash akin to that of Mass Effect 3. I suppose we can't really blame them. Why sour the legacy of Half-Life?
Portal is a different story. Gabe Newell stated that Portal 2 would most likely be the last singleplayer game the developer would ever create. I can't exactly see Portal 3 becoming a multiplayer game (though it would be amazing to engage in online battles with only portal guns). Therefore, it seems unlikely that Portal 3 will ever be created. Though I think we're happy enough with Portal 2 as it stands.
What do you guys think? Do you believe that Half-Life 3 is a pipe dream? That Valve won't be releasing this highly anticipated game for years? Is a third Portal game even necessary after the acclaimed second installment? Could there be hopes of a crossover?
