***Spoilers for the latest episode of 'The Walking Dead.' If you're not caught up, proceed with caution.***

After The Walking Dead's mid-season premiere on Sunday, there's no question that no one is safe in Season 6. Amongst the many fatalities, the massacre of one struggling family stood out in the bloodbath.

Alexandra Breckenridge, who played Jessie Anderson in the show, revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that she had sent an email to Scott Gimple, TWD's showrunner, to plead her case to keep her character around a little longer.

"I sent Scott an email and had a pitch for how he didn't have to kill Jessie. It wasn't totally serious and said, "Her children get killed, Sam is eaten and Ron is killed trying to kill Rick — and Jessie leaves the group and you don't find her for another year and a half when you see her in season seven or eight and she's a crazy feral woman." (Laughing) I thought it was fun. It was a more interesting direction than standing there in shock and getting eaten herself."

Well, she makes a good point. If I knew I was going to be killed off of a hit TV series, I'd do my best to postpone my death as long as possible. But when it comes to being cast in The Walking Dead, you probably go into it knowing you're acting on borrowed time.

'The Walking Dead' airs on Sundays on AMC.

Were you sad to see Jessie go?
