Here we are again, it's vacation time! So what are we going to do? Watch movies of course! And sleep. So, the last time I did this, it had only four genres: Comedy, Drama, SciFi, and Horror. But, here is a twist-I am adding a new thing into the mix! I will be adding one TV show for you to watch! I figure four movies isn't enough to watch over vacation, so a TV show would be great to have! Let's go!
Comedy: Tommy Boy
Here is a throwback featuring the late, great Chris Farley. Chris was as beloved as his films. Him and his partner in crime made many a film, and Tommy Boy was one of the greats. Filled with laughs, tears, and a whole lot of slapstick, this is a fantastic film to watch anytime!
Drama: Forrest Gump
This cult classic is loved my millions. Bringing us famous quotes such as "Run Forrest Run!" and "Mamma always said life was like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gunna get" (unless you flip it over). Though a drama, it has many parts where you will burst out laughing, and many parts that will drive you to tears. Warm hearted, fun, but too real. A great film to watch late at night to just put your feet up and just enjoy yourself.
Are you afraid of tires? Me too! This flick had the guts to take on the task of making a horror movie about a serial killer named Robert that no one could ever find... BECAUSE HES A FRICKIN' TIRE! There are many odd-ball pictures out there, and this, this is on that list. It's funny horror. If you want a scary movie, this might not be your best bet, but it is probably the only horror movie without jump-scares, so that's worth something.
SciFi: Galaxy Quest
Given the recent passing of the amazingly amazing and super talented Alan Rickman, I found this choice appropriate. This funny SciFi comedy is a fun film for the whole family. Lots of jokes, lots of aliens, and lots of enjoyment!
TV Show: Sirens
This comedy show is a personal favorite. Unlike the last option, this one is definitely for after the little ones go to bed. This is a fairly raunchy adult comedy, but it is so good. It is two seasons long, available on Netflix, and is short enough that you could watch the whole show in a couple of days if you put your mind to it. It's too funny to not give a try!
